Not much going on here.  Repacing the carpet in the house with wood and starting to work some hard-scap projects outside so we can be ready to plant come spring.

Heading home

I head back to Colorado tomorrow after a great visit to FL.  It was wonderful to see friends and family.

But have to admit it will be great to get back to my hubby and critters (who have been giving him fits since I left LOL).  I'll try to post some pictures once I get back and unpacked

P.S.
I'm loading most pics over on "Kares Pictures" under cool links to the left. Glass at the front and other stuff on the last pages.

Sunrise

Colorado has some of the most consistant pretty sunrises and sunsets I've seen.

Saturday

Gotta a lot to do today!!  Getting hair done, last min shopping and yes I still need to pack.  Hubby is staying here since he just started a new job and it would be a little tacky to ask for leave before you finish training.  But actually that will work well with our pack-o-pups.

Found new glass shop yesterday and broke down and got some things to try fusing. Yes Jodi, I know you were sending me some samples...but well it was there and calling my name. :)  And yes I can see a new kiln making its way here shortly. LOL (Once the get the basement wired.)  So yep, my fist piece is in the kiln as I type. :)

Joined FB in the last week or so.  Its been a lot of fun seeing where everyone is and what they are up to.

Well I need to run, lots to do before I head to Fla.

knob press

thanks for the kind words here and on FB.

Shelly, I'm using the knob kit from zooziis. With the boro I use the press to get the size and then finish with a marble mold to get a smooth finish.  With Soft you could just use the press and flame polish.

Friends

Just feel like I need to say something.  A friend stood up for another on LE and got blasted.  Well they both did. In all my dealings with both they have been nothing but kind and honest.  I'm adding a third to this list---she was taking up for the first two. LOL got to love it-the LE tag line is "a friendly place to bring together glass and jewelry artist."

I stopped posting on LE months ago after another situation.  I have watched one person after another get torn to small bits. There is so much talent but it gets lost in the bloodshed.  At this point I hesitate to suggest it as a site for newcomers to glass.  If I do, I warn them it can get a bit heated and not to take it to heart.

I must admit growing up if I had talked to anyone they way they have I wouldn't have sat down for weeks.  As an adult I still believe that not everyone has to agree with me and that doesn't make them bad.  Also good people make mistakes, they should not be flamed for it. You can disagree and still show consideration and respect.

Trish ...Michelle ... Diane...Hugs

OK stepping off the soap box now
